Electrical power generation client is currently seeking a Substation Electrical Controls Engineer (Position A) and an Engineering Technologist (Position B) to provide engineering and technical expertise for the Substation Protection and Controls group in Plainfield, IN. These are 1 year CONTRACT positions, with the possibility of extension. Local candidates strongly preferred. Pay rates listed are estimates. Please provide your desired hourly pay rate.
Responsibilities for the Electrical Engineer
Perform modification and creation of single-line, three-line, relay and metering drawings and AC / DC schematics as part of the electrical design drawing package
Prioritize and manage multiple projects, considering time and budget constraints
Review vendor design drawings to ensure compliance with established client standard design criteria
Specify and order protective relaying and control materials for assigned substation projects
Requirements for the Electrical Engineer
(Position A) - BS Degree in Electrical Engineering and 5
years of Substation Electrical Protection and Controls experience
(Position B) - AS Degree and 2
years of Substation Electrical Protection and Controls experience
Working knowledge of protective relay application in AC / DC schematic design
Automation (SCADA) and telecommunications design experience is desirable
