THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY: Business Development Manager
Prospect, qualify, propose, and create sustainable business partnerships
Generate new clients for Elwood Staffing
Maintain regular contact with prospects and target opportunities
Utilize multiple networking sources, including social media, to identify prospects
Create, work, and update a target list and forecasting tools
Design account specific sales strategies
Prepare, practice, and deliver professional proposals and presentations
Follow Elwood Standard Operating Procedures
Tour client facilities and complete on-site evaluations
Process new client paperwork in timely manner
Create, follow, update, and evaluate quarterly goals with
area manager
Other Responsibilities
Assist with networking
events
as expected
Keep current on all corporate and ASA training
Other duties as requested to enhance prospect and client relationships
BACKGROUND PROFILE: Business Development Manager
Previous experience in outside business-to-business sales, new business development, OR related education and degree (for entry level candidates)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong
computer
skills
Proficiency with utilizing social media and CRM's
Flexible to work both independently and as a team contributor
College degree preferred
Good organizational skills, the ability to work with people across all levels of an organization (gatekeepers to
executive
decision makers), and professional communication skills are other key traits for this
position
Possess a strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
