Driver Manager The primary responsibility of a Driver Manager is to understand contractual fleet needs, and train company drivers according to the job duties.
Manage and develop relationships with the drivers and subcontractors and maintain the fleet to increase overall driver productivity and retention.
This position works closely with supervisors, drivers, customers, and other company departments to ensure company objectives are met.
Responsibilities:
Lead a fleet of 30
drivers and manage driver availability to maximize the productivity of their fleet.
Monitor and manage the driver's time for efficiency, ensuring that customer expectations are met for pickup and delivery, DOT Hours of Service regulations are followed, and any delays are communicated to the dispatch/customer.
Assists in the administration and coordination of the fleet.
Responsible for performing drive tests on potential driver candidates and providing training when hired.
Develop, write, manage, and improve driver schedules, and or routes to optimize performance and efficiency.
Requirement:
Class A license preferred.

years in Transportation Operations.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights and weekends.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
